Western view of the Minarets
This picture was taken from "Cattle Mountain" near the end of Minarets Road, a road that climbs the Sierras from the west. Most people are used to seeing the Minarets from Mammoth Lakes - or the eastern side of the Sierras. We are about 10 miles from Mt. Ritter: the largest mountain in the Minarets. Rogers Peak is just west of the resort town of June Lake. Rogers Peak is also approximately 15 miles east of Yosemite Valley.
