"This is an ACTUAL article printed in the August, 1988 "The Spinner," the official publication of the TWA MEC."

The facts explain why TWA pilots have a 'vested interest' in not educating fellow pilots about the truth of the Retirement Plan, or in assisting them or their beneficiaries in need.

Since posted here, Ms. Heald has learned the B-Plan was discontinued at the end of 1992. However, it stands as a perfect example of how "self-funded' plans can be run quite differently from 'the norm,' and since this page was printed in a 'newsletter' which may not have even been read by all, how many employees (let alone their 'beneficiaries) knew the facts? In this case, most employees w/ families might choose to carry significantly more life insurance than otherwise.

Please be patient as these documents will take some time to download. Thank you.
