Corvette vs. Camaro
If you put the rear seat down in a Camaro Z28 the interior is quite similar to the Corvette's. The Corvette has the same cheesy plastic parts inside as the Camaro. The hatchback is almost identical, and it looks quite similar. The Corvette has a lot of goodies the Camaro doesn't, like Active Handling and tons of standard features. Other notable differences are:

So you can see the Camaro is bigger, heavier, and a lot less expensive. The Corvette is lower, sleeker, faster, stops better and handles better. The Corvette's longer wheelbase contributes to a more comfortable ride and better handling. Camaro Z28 is clearly the "bang for the buck" champ, but in stock form can't match up with the superior Corvette.
The engine supplied in both cars accommodates modifications easily, and I know people who've massage more than 400hp out of the LS1. Straight-line acceleration does not a good car make. Personally I'll take brakes and handling any day. It takes a blend of the performance characteristics to make a superior automobile like the Corvette.
