This company is an aerospace supplier of various high-tech equipment, including auxiliary power units, environmental control systems, and military application hardware.  The Power Systems facility is located in San Diego, with other major facilities located in Illinois and Connecticut.   This worldwide company is a division of United Technolgies Corporation, who also owns other diverse subsidiaries such as Carrier, Otis Elevator, and Pratt and Whitney.   Annual revenues exceed $250 million, from products supplied by the approximately 650 employees in San Diego.
My professional responsibilities include: Contract administration responsibility for the APS 3200, APS 2000, and business jet model auxiliary power and electronic control box units; serve as primary administrative contact for Airbus A320 family and Learjet aircraft; manage all aspects of customer requirements, including administration of orders, resolving disputes, forecast planning, etc.; develop and negotiate maintenance service plans; develop customer proposal submittals; assist in collection efforts; interface with all levels of executive management.

Key Member of the J.D. Edwards Implementation Team Project    Key member of the J.D. Edwards Implementation Team Project:  Participation on this team spanned over six (6) months, whereby replacement of the current automated systems demanded involvement all disciplines of the Company.  My responsibilities include representing the Contracts Department, to provide input, review, and recommedations during the analysis and implementation phases of the project.

 

Contracts and Programs Administrator

Inland Empire Utilities Agency   

1998 - 1999

This company is a publicly-held municipality, providing supplemental water, operating wastewater treatment facilities and providing other related utility services, for seven cities/special districts in an approximate 240 square mile region (i.e., more than 700,000 citizens) of southwestern San Bernardino County. The current annual budget is in excess of 90 million dollars, which supports new projects and infrastructure, maintains operations of four treatment plants and administrative offices, with more than 220 employees.

 

My professional responsibilities included: Supervision and training of Department staff; contract development, review, and administration; development and implementation of company policies and procedures, and automated systems; perform complex and comprehensive project evaluations and analysis; negotiate agreements and procurements; development, review, and coordination of specifications and solicitation documents; development and administration of multi-Department budgets, goals and objectives; development and administration of special projects; and development of formal presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors.

 

My accomplishments at IEUA include:

Key Member of the "Privatization from Within" Project    Key member of the "Privatization from Within" Project: This year-long   special assignment involved a dedicated team of ten members, challenged with developing and performing an exhaustive internal management audit. The Project resulted in identified annual savings in excess of 2.6 million dollars, as well as the introduction of streamlined processes and efficiencies throughout the organization.

Management Information Systems Steering Committee   Key member of the Management Information Systems Steering Committee: This ongoing effort identifies and recommends goals and objectives for meeting the company's informational technology mission; e.g., network topologies, equipment specifications, etc.

Administration Headquarters Relocation Project   Key member of the "Administration Headquarters Relocation" Project: This three month-long project required the consolidation of four separate administrative offices into one central location in another city, including relocation of over one hundred employees, resulting in an annual savings in excess of $180,000.
