Tires: (or tyres to my British friends)

The proper street rod should be a combination of "bigs and littles" or big tires on the rear and little tires on the front. I want to have some fat tires for maximum stopping power.

The other rule is no white letters. The final selection for me comes down to BF Goodrich, Dunlop, or Bridgestone. Both BF Goodrich and Dunlop would require me to reverse two or more tires to hot show the white letters. Bridgestone eager's come in a black wall that I prefer. Unfortunately the Bridgestone's don't seem to come in the 275/60 15 as indicated by the Tire Rack. I have purchased Dunlop tires, black in the front and RWL in the rear the dunlop also offer a 195/50 15 which is a little lower.

The BF Goodrich http://bfgoodrichtires.com/site is an excellent place to look at tire sizes diameters tread width and so forth
