| Scientific, Medical, and Veterinary Illustration | ||
| Since 1978 I been illustrating for the scientific community, both in research and commercial fields. My background includes a bachelor's degree in Biology, teaching college-level zoology laboratories and several years as a research technician in molecular biology with an emphasis on mitochondrial DNA studies using electron microscopy. | ||

Understanding the needs of the publishing scientist has contributed to my success as a free lance scientific illustrator. My illustrations are known for their clarity and accuracy, following strict rules of design and each detail is researched thoroughly.

Currently my focus is illustrating science text books and developing scientific animations for teaching. I find the Flash technology to be the most exciting innovation I could imagine. I can now bring life to illustrations that, in the past could only be shown in step-by-step static illustrations.
A few of my recent achievements are shown below. I would be pleased to discuss your needs for scientific, medical or veterinary illustration and animation. Send me an email at karinc@linkline.com. |
