Water
Treatment Gadgets -
If it sounds
too good to
be true.. It is!
For the past 15 years we have seen the gadget industry grow
as a result of tighter discharge restrictions put on dischargers by
the EPA. In an effort to be more environmentally friendly
WaterTreatment.Net has complied with these restrictions by changing
our chemistry to be the most environmentally friendly on the market.
However, some less than scientific entrepreneurs have entered
the market with gadgets designed to eliminate the need for water
chemistry. So far we have not seen any evidence that these
gadgets work. Magnetic, electromagnetic, electrostatic, or
other more magical non-scientific transformations of water chemistry
are available to those who are interested. But, if you remember the
first law of thermal dynamics, "Mater can neither be created or
destroyed." So, how can a non-chemical device change hard
water into soft water?
Many products advertise total elimination of
corrosion and deposition with nothing being added to taken away from
the water itself. These products actually due far more damage to
systems that zero treatment because they give the system managers a
sense that something is being done. therefore no attention is paid
to the untreated system. While on the other hand, if they had
no treatment they would at least be aware that the damage potential
existed.
To list all of the
gadgets on the market today would take some time. So below I
have only listed those gadgets that can scientifically prove that
they actually work.
1.
umm....
We may seem biased
but we are actually open minded and anxiously waiting some proof. A
balanced chemical equation would suffice.
