About Nick Anis:

Nick Anis is a best-selling author who writes about computers, telecommunications, and travel. He has over two dozen books in print from publishers such as Bantam, Osborne/McGraw-Hill, Random House, Tab/McGraw-Hill, Ziff-Davis, and others.

Nick has developed applications in BASIC, FORTRAN, Pascal, dBase, Clipper, HTML 1-3, and Java as well as other somewhat obscure development environments, such as DB2, DBD, and Pilot.

Nick's status as a working technology journalist enables him to evaluate an extensive range of desktop and laptop IBM and Macintosh compatible systems and peripherals. He also regularly reviews a wide range of applications and utilities for the PC and Mac platforms.

Nick writes for the travel pages and entertainment guides of several newspapers and travel news services. His beat includes, skiing, winter activities, vacation get aways, theme parks and other family recreation, entertainment, and food and wine. His travel and entertainment articles and photographs appear regularly in print and electronically.

Nick has many hobbies and interests including skiing, tennis, cycling, motorcycles, traveling, and (of course) computers.

Nick writes for Ziff-Davis, Microtimes, Boardwatch Magazine, and others. He produces the Dvorak Telecommunications Excellence Awards. He has also produced the Internet World Awards, the Hi-Tech Expo Awards, the Hi-Tech Expo and I-Net trade shows, and has written for COMDEX Show Daily.

Nick and Patty Anis operate a computer consulting firm, Value Added Reselling (VAR) business, and a desktop publishing and design company.
