go North on the 5
take HW99 when it splits off the 5 (about 3 miles out of the mnts)
go 25 miles, take HW178 exit, go right (East)
go about 11 miles (thru Bakersfield)
left at Ming Lake sign (Alfred Harrell Hwy) map 2.
right at the Stop Sign by the store
road goes to lake then curves left
right at Campground sign
Stop at Day Camp on top of hill

Directions to China Garden Campground
north on the 5 to the 99 to Hwy178 going East (see other directions ) map 1.
at about 13 miles on Hwy178 you will enter a canyon. map 2.
check your Odometer,
go 14 miles more
slow down towards the end map 3.
the China Garden Campground sign is on the left and hard to see (it is 1 mile past the Democrat Hot Springs sign)
take the crappy dirt road down to the river (the road forks several times; stay in towards the middle)[IMAGE]
