Our Community

The residents of Chino Hills enjoy a high quality of life. We have safe streets and schools, clean parks, and an well-planned roads, utilities and landscaping. These features make Chino Hills a highly desirable community in which to live and raise a family. One of the unique features that we enjoy here is the more than 2,500 acres of publicly owned and maintained natural open space and the 10,000 acres of state owned natural parkland.

Open space is land that has been designated as land that will not be used for commercial, industrial or residential development. Open space lands are typically undisturbed natural hillsides, ridges, valleys and water courses that have aesthetic and Enviromental qualities that enhance the image and quality of life in Chino Hills.

Softly rounded and steeply sloped hillsides along the southern and western boundaries of Chino Hills contribute to the unique character of the City, and provide a valuable buffer between the City and adjacent communities.

Chino Hills is one of the few areas in this region that is privileged  to  contain  four  distinct ecological  habitats: Riparian,  Grasslands,  Chaparral,  and  Oak and Walnut Woodlands.

Open space protects and enhances residential property values on a long term basis, which makes it valuable for all members of the community, even those who may never set foot on it.
