Final project guidelines
Your Final Project has two parts:
I. In class presentation (to miss the presentations of your colleagues is to lose a letter grade on your own final project)
Describe your community/religious group
What is their cosmology?
What are some elements of their worldview?
What is their theodicy?
What tenets define their lives as individuals and communities?
You will only have a short time to make this presentation; bring notes and enthusiasm for your project and the time will fly byII. A written paper 10-12 pages in length (12 point font, double spaced, with page numbers and 1" margins)
In this paper you will have written out what was outlined in your presentation.
Then, after describing the worldview of your community, you will use one of the texts we have read in class to better understand what is going on in your community.
Connect what you have researched with the readings in class.
Does Turner or Chidester or Stoller or Bell, etc., help you understand the way the community lives and believes?Got Questions? Email me: LauraAmmon@linkline.com
