Preparing for Pool
A few pointers from
set up to maintaining your Splash SuperPool
A detailed Owners Manual is furnished to you from
Splash SuperPool in your plumbing box. Here, we are addressing some
of the most common questions and concerns when setting up a Splash
SuperPool
Set Up
- For best results pool should be set up within
3 inches of level.
- Allow 4’ more than the size of your pool when
building pool pads, pouring cement pads, or just figuring where
you pool will fit. The actual pool needs 3’, however to accommodate
for any supports needed, and to keep legs off border, allow for
the working space of 4’. Refer to size chart.
Plumbing
- Hand tighten fittings only.
- Teflon tape is NOT used to connect blue
hoses to pool wall fittings, if used the fittings will leak. If
this happens, simply remove the Teflon tape and re-tighten. Fittings
are built to create seal between hoses and fittings without Teflon
tape.
- Teflon tape is used for fittings attached
to pool liner and equipment.
- Round cardboard seal for pool fitting holding
skimmer into place needs to be placed on outside of pool wall.
It will be in the correct position already on cap fitting.
Filling with
water
- As pool fills with water check to make sure
legs are staying in their inserted top rail holes.
- Make sure bottom of leg supports are stretched
out on ground as they should be to allow straps to finish in a
fully extended position.
- Pool walls will look collapsed until pool water
is up all the way, recommended to 4" from the top.
- Secure the garden hose or it could fall out
of the pool as the pool fills with water.
Electrical
- Do not use standard orange or green extension
cords. If you decide to use an extension cord, use a heavy duty
12 gauge, yellow outdoor type approved for outdoor use, 3 wire
only. Use of standard extension cords will cause motor to burn
out prematurely. Extension cords are discouraged.
- Pool is intended to be plugged into GFCI breaker,
dedicated circuit.
