BENEFITS

Your acceptance into SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA'S FIRST FAMILIES is an honor that is not achievable by many citizens of this great country.

Your proven ancestor has passed on through you his or her determination to do what many thought impossible helping to create and form what has become the most successful and respected nation in the world.

By leaving their home countries, where their lives had comforts never imagined here, and carving futures for themselves and their descendants out of raw wilderness, these brave souls made changes the rest of the world could only dream about.

Your Colonial line has survived through sickness, disasters, wars, hunger, and other life ending events that has claimed many families who shared the dreams of your Ancestor. Through the will of God we are the survivors.

Be proud of your line and continue to learn everything possible about your family of yesteryear and speak of their achievements to all who will listen and learn from them. By taking the step to join this society you are telling the world you honor your family and your Ancestor by inducting him or her into the ANCESTOR ROLL OF HONOR.

You will be in contact with others whose family lines have survived nearly 400 years in this great country, men and women eager to meet new friends and long-lost cousins who share their interests.

You will have access to genealogical information you can use and pass on to others. There is no substitute for the feeling of helping someone achieve what they are seeking.

As a Society member you have access to large numbers of Lineage Lines that will be of prime importance in the development of your additional lines. There are members who are dedicated to assisting you with information they have gathered through the years.

There are genealogists who have opened their files to provide help with 8 to 12 generation lists. Some members have been collecting lineage lines for many years and they too will be of great help with your Ancestor quest.

You will find their listings posted on the pages of the 1600s Ancestors Data Base under the code numbers 1-001 through 1-010. Additional Data Base posts are made on Thursday of each week.

You have complete control on what information you would like released on your family and to whom. And we encourage our members to publish or if you prefer to post on web sites that you feel will be of interest to other genealogical researchers.

Much on policy and other matters will be covered in our section entitled  MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

We all have ideas and they are welcome here. Let's share and learn with each other.
