When I sat down and began the first rough sketch of this site, I had to
consider the target audience as part of this project. Well, this is where I
get to use my own personal opion on how the site should look. This has been
one of the biggest problems on the internet since I began playing with
computers, there is always those people who stay on the cutting edge of
technology and there are those who will always stay at the bottom of the
continuum. Who am I to state an opinion on what other people are supposed to
do with their computers? So, this is where I stand. I have developed this
site in 800x600 16 bit (high color) although it will autosize for those who
refuse to look at the smaller screen size. But, it definately looks better
(spacing) at the higher resolution. The color had a little more inflexibility
than the resolution and I just can't sacrifice the quality of the photos for
the people who still have only a 256 video card. I apologize for any fuzzy
pictures you may have but I have tested the site on several machine (with
current video cards) and all of the photos look great so unfortunately this
site is not for you. I can say that I am new to web publishing and this was my
first site, so I will definately learn more tricks on the graphical
presentation techniques on the web and you may see better backward
compatibility in the future.
I wanted to thank everyone for all of the feedback on this site and assure
everyone that I will continue to look for better ways of addressing loading
times and other issues that I haven't already dealt with. As a final note, I
also wanted to comment on the photo of both of us on this page. I am a firm
believer that
behind every good man, is a great woman.
So, with that in mind I couldn't not include my beloved "buggie" Nicole.
Anyone who has ever created one of these sites knows that it takes many long
nights of refining to get things to look the way you want and she has been very
helpful in construction of this site. I hope to get her more involved in web
publishing in the future. Well, thanks for your time and always feel free to
keep the feedback coming.
