I enjoy having a yard that is friendly to the little creatures. I felt that the bird netting would protect the tomato plants and we could all "just get along" together. This cage was bird proof for anything smaller than the hawk that stops by occasionally. I was pretty sure that the hawk was not interested in tomato salad. (Yes, I know the structure is very crooked. I did not glue the connections in order to allow for later disassembly and storage.)
The large gate was to allow easy access for watering and harvesting the tomatoes. Little did I know what was in store for me in the future. Click here
