Tomatoes Grown With Yard-GaardTM These tomato plants were very similar when planted on June 1, 2007. EarthgroTM potting soil was used to transplant the tomato into 12 inch pots. The root systems of both plants were not disturbed because the plants came in peat pots which were planted "as is" in the larger pots. The only difference was that the plant on the right was treated with Yard-GaardTM for the first watering. Both the soil and the foliage were wetted with a solution of Yard-GaardTM at a concentration of 20 PPM diluted 3 to 1 with tap water. Click on the
photos for a closer view.
Each plant received about one half gallon of water every other day. The plants were located within a couple feet of each other to insure that the amount of sun was equal. You
can see the difference in the plants after only 30 days.
