Enjoy plants free from attack by disease, fungus and mold while stimulating growth and yield.

I started the experiment with three similar "Scarlet Knight" plants in individual 12 inch pots.

They were transplanted using EarthGroTM potting soil and BayerTM  systemic insecticide and fertilizer.

Plant "B" was treated with Yard-GaardTM in the original watering but not on the foliage. 

Plant "C" was was not treated with Yard-GaardTM.

The three plants were placed where they would get equal sun and were watered the same.

All three plants were regularly sprayed with "home brew" tobacco tea to control spiders and other insects.

Both the treated and untreated plants were doing well and produced about the same amount of flowers.

Plant "A" showed more vigorous growth producing about twice as many new growth shoots.

All three plants resisted aphid infestation because of the systemic insecticide - bugs get one taste then die.

Plant "C" (untreated) has repeatedly been infected by powdery mildew which was probably caused by the "one taste" aphids.

Plants "A" & "B" (treated) have not been infected by powdery mildew.

The treated plants suffered fewer problems such as leaf rust and other diseases.
