When I put a half empty bottle of spaghetti sauce in the refrigerator I was often frustrated to find mold growing in the bottle the next time I went to use it. As an experiment I sprayed a small amount of Body-GaardTM ionic silver into a new partially used bottle of spaghetti sauce and put it in the fridge. After about six months (that's right, over 180 days) I opened the bottle to find the contents fresh and suitable for use. I continued the experiment by respraying the bottle and putting it back in the fridge for about four more months. When it was opened, the contents were still mold free and fresh to the taste. Ten months in the fridge and still fresh. At this point I considered the test very successful.
I wanted to see if it was necessary to respray the bottle each time it was opened. Without respraying, I resealed the bottle and put it back in the fridge. After an additional two months I opened the bottle to find several spots of mold growing on the surface of the sauce and a fair amount of mold growing on the lid. Clearly not useable any more. No, I did not taste the sauce this time.
Conclusion - To keep food fresh, spray lightly with ionic silver. Bio-GaardTM
