When you catch some bug that is going around, the FDA supported big (profitable) drug companies rush to your aide with a dangerous (and usually expensive) “cure” instead of allowing you to adopt a simple (low cost) program of prevention to protect yourself.  The current pattern of treatment is to wait until an infection is raging in your system, then pump drugs into you to “make you better”. 

A woman I know went in for a complete physical checkup.  After reviewing the results, the doctor called her in to discuss his findings.  He asked about her lifestyle including exercise, sleep, foods, medications and supplements. 

When she told the doctor that she routinely took vitamins and supplements the doctor said, "You are in excellent health.  You don't need to take all those vitamins and supplements." 

Wait a minute!!!

Do you think the fact she was regularly taking vitamins and supplements could possibly have contributed to her good health?  What kind of crazy advice was it to tell her to stop doing what was contributing to her good health?  Clearly, the doctor was echoing the teachings of the drug companies that want you to get sick so they can sell you some of their drugs to "make you better."

One major problem the FDA has expressed with preventative treatment is the concern that a particular strain of pathogen might develop an immunity to the treatment.  Their concern is well founded.  The current crop of “super bugs” is pushing the limits of the available antibiotics.  Even now, there are resistant strains of TB, Staph such as MRSA and many others lurking in every hospital just waiting to attack the unprotected.

One of the many benefits of ionic silver is that pathogens can not develop immunity to its effectiveness.  This is due to the way ionic silver kills the pathogen.  By blocking the mechanism by which the pathogen breathes, it suffocates before it has a chance to reproduce.  Because of this no ionic silver resistant strains ever develop.
